California Left-Wing Lunacy, Tom Selleck, Sarah Palin And Water

There’s egg all over the face of the California Calleguas Municipal Water District in Ventura County. After spending more than $20,000 to investigate the water usage of Tom Selleck, filing a law suit against him for “stealing” water for his avocado farm, it turns out it was all a big “mistake.” Sounds like the authorities of Calleguas are a bit malicious in their biases against their wealthy, conservative celebrities.

Political Insider reports that Selleck legally bought water through a construction company to tend his farm and had the receipts to prove it. After ignoring notices from from the county, they filed a lawsuit.

However, after days of bad press, it turns out it was all a mistake. Tom Selleck didn’t steal water, and every drop of water he used was paid for. This is AFTER the local government spent more than $20,000 on a private investigator to find evidence. WOW!

“There was water used during that time, and it was paid for.”

He was buying the water through a construction company which was allowed to collect the water. It was 100% legal and not even remotely questionable.

Why would a county government spend so much time and money going after Tom Selleck? Could it be because Tom is a Republican who supports the National Rifle Association?

So, why can’t the government of California take a tip from Sarah Palin? Since a large portion of rainfall that falls on the golden state, just runs into the sea, wouldn’t building more reservoirs be one solution, and well, there is the ocean, too.

the Sun Times reports:

So Palin thought of a brilliant solution:

“You might ask, though, why don’t they just fix the infrastructure problem, why don’t they just build more reservoirs and plants? After all, California is a coastal state. It’s got a whole ocean right there, water all around ya.”

Because, yes, building reservoirs to store the water you don’t have makes perfect sense. Just for some perspective, here’s how dry California is right now:

And as for the “water all around ya” part, Palin goes on to say that because California is “America’s petri dish for left wing lunacy,” those darned “environmentalists” have been preventing the construction of more desalination plants in the state, pointing out the fact that said plants do, in fact, need a whole bunch of energy to operate.
