Things were heated on the Fox News Channel Tuesday night when Newt Gingrich Former House Speaker, and an advisor to Donald Trump’s campaign, squared off with the Fox network Darling host Megyn Kelly about allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump.
Megyn Kelly has been under scrutiny this election cycle because of her disdain for Trump, and her not focusing on anything regarding Clinton, but Gingrich gave it to her straight, and he didn’t back down:
Kelly’s conversation with Gingrich, who was on the shortlist to be Trump’s running mate, soured when the Fox anchor raised concerns about women who claim to be victims of Trump’s unwanted sexual advances. In response, the former lawmaker said Kelly is “fascinated with sex.”
The conversation between Kelly and Gingrich seemed to take a turn for the nasty when the Fox host asked about allegations that could paint Trump as a “sexual predator.”
Gingrich, arguing Kelly doesn’t spend enough time talking about Hillary Clinton, charged, “You are fascinated with sex and you don’t care about public policy. That’s what I get out of watching you tonight!”
Though Kelly noted she has spent time discussing revelations about the Democratic presidential nominee found in emails stolen by WikiLeaks, Gingrich was still unsatisfied, telling Kelly, “I’m sick and tired of people like you using language that’s inflammatory that’s not true.”
