Long time Republican supporter, Jon Voight, comes out in utter disgust of De Niro’s PRE FILMED video saying he is “ashamed” of de Niro’s “foul words.”
It’s almost seems as if De Niro knew this was all coming all along and the video was ready to go.
Washington Examiner reports:
Jon Voight went on a Twitter tirade against fellow Hollywood star Robert de Niro, after the “Raging Bull” actor appeared in a video calling Republican nominee Donald Trump “blatantly stupid” and a “national disaster.”
In a video provided to Fox News, which was recorded but not used as part of the #VoteYourFuture campaign, de Niro, who has verbally attacked Trump in the past, said he would like to “punch [Trump] in the face.” While it was released amid the fallout, the video was recorded long before the leaked tape scandal rocking the Trump campaign this weekend.
In a series of tweets on the actor’s verified Twitter account, Voight said he is “ashamed” of de Niro’s “foul words.” He also called on Trump supporters to “express their outrage” against de Niro and “Republican turncoats,” seemingly calling out Republicans who have renounced their support of the GOP nominee in response to his lewd comments about women in the 2005 video uncovered Friday.
Here is Voight’s Twitter message in full:
I am so ashamed of my fellow actor Bobby DeNiro’s rant against Donald Trump. What foul words he used against a presidential nominee. who has worked harder then any other man I know in the past year and a half to get a good message to the American people. I don’t know of too many men who haven’t expressed some sort of similar sexual terms toward women, especially in their younger years. Donald Trump’s words were not as damaging as Robert DeNiro’s ugly rant. Trump’s words did not hurt anyone. Can you imagine. if any Republican said words like Robert DeNiro used – against Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama? All hell would break loose. I am calling for all Trump supporters to express their outrage and anger against DeNiro and all of the Republican turncoats against Trump. Let Donald Trump know we are completely behind him, and may God give him the strength to continue his calling.
