[WATCH] Raccoon Steals Guy’s Phone While Filming, Then It Gets Crazy

What are the odds of a wild animal recording his own theft? This is the VIDEO that made the raccoon and the man famous!

A 19-year-old student at Bellarmine University just had a wild time with a wild raccoon, and even got his name in lights for a bit.

Guy Williams is from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. As a student as Bellarmine, Guy and his friends noticed a raccoon that hangs around the campus. He and his buddies decided it would be a good idea to take photos of the raccoon, feed it some acorns, and perhaps shoot a little video.

This is where Guy’s story gets crazy.

After a wild time, Guy recovered his phone and discovered that the video had kept running. He thought it would be fun to post the raccoon’s footage on Twitter.

Stanley the Raccoon, as Guy and his friends have come to call him, became quite a star after his caper. The video has been retweeted more than 50,000 times and liked more than 70,000!

Eventually, Stanley dropped the phone and Guy was able to recover it by dialing it from another phone. Smart move.

Some have accused Guy of somehow harming Stanley the Raccoon, but he assures everyone that Stanley was not touched and is doing well.

Isn’t technology fantastic? Without smartphone and Twitter, the wild story of Guy and Stanley may never have happened!
