[WATCH] She Does Not Need A Top, She Needs A Bicycle Helmet

Just two shirtless girls riding along, free as can be. Watch out for those curves, though!

Can’t we all agree that bicycle safety is important. You should not ride without a helmet!

This motorcycle rider spotted two topless women riding around town and decided to film them. It is unclear, at first, whether the girls like the attention or not, but eventually, one starts dancing around for the camera as she rides.

The blissful journey continues and everyone appears to be having a good time, then, seemingly out of nowhere, disaster strikes!

Watch the happy beginning, and the sad ending, for yourself, below:

Why is it crucial to wear a helmet while cycling?

Here are some statistics:

In 2015, 818 bicyclists died on roads in the United States. This is an increase of 12.2%.

Injuries were down a bit in 2015: 50,000 in 2014 to 45,000 a year later.

In 2014, 50 bicyclists age 14 and younger were killed.

Deaths while cycling represented 2.2% of all traffic-related fatalities in 2013.

Surprisingly, the average age of a cyclist killed on use roads was 45, which is up (in years) from 2002, when the average age was 36.

87% of people killed were males, while 83% were females.

We do not hear much about drinking and bicycling, but 24% of cyclists killed had been drinking, with blood alcohol measuring over .01 g/dl.

71% of all fatal crashes were in urban areas, and, also surprisingly, 56% were not at an intersection.

50% of fatalities occurred during the day, the other 50% at night, which strikes many people as being odd.

So you thought you would just enjoy a funny video of a topless girl wrecking her bike, didn’t you? Now you are also armed with a few statistics to speak to your friends about.

Enjoy the sunshine, enjoy the air, enjoy your bike. Wear a shirt, and, do yourself a favor, and wear a helmet!
