Donald Trump Promises To Be “Very Restrained” From Social Media When He Becomes President

President-elect Donald Trump says he’ll continue to tweet as president, but he’ll be “very restrained” in doing so.

“I’m going to be very restrained, if I use it at all, I’m going to be very restrained,” Trump said in a preview clip of a CBS “60 Minutes” interview set to air Sunday.

During the interview, Trump also praised the many social media platforms he uses as “modern form[s] of communication” that helped him secure the Republican nomination and White House, despite being criticized for not having a super organized ground game.

“I won,” Trump said. “I think that social media has more power than the money they spent, and I think maybe to a certain extent, I proved that.”

The billionaire businessman went on to explain that he often sees social media as a medium where he can fight back against the media.

“When you give me a bad story or when you give me an inaccurate story or when somebody other than you and another — a network, or whatever, because of course, CBS would never do a thing like that right?” Trump said. “I have a method of fighting back”

Trump has already used Twitter several times following his decisive victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton, which has sparked some criticism against the president-elect after he commented on the people protesting his victory.
