Playboy “BULLY” Officially Charged after Body Shaming 70 Year Old Woman

29 year old Playmate, Dani Mathers, came under intense scrutiny after body shaming a woman while she was showering in a gym.  Mathers said, “if I can’t unsee this, neither can you” and shared it all over the internet. She then lied and said it was meant to only go to a private message between her and a friend. BIG mistake as nobody believed it.

Mathers later issued a forced apology, “There is no excuse. I understand fully the magnitude of this post that I have hurt a lot of people, women. Body shaming is not okay…and not something to joke about.” Unfortunately, that was a little bit too late and the damage had already been done.

Mathers now faces jail time and a misdemeanor.

Mirror has the story:

The Playboy Playmate who secretly took a picture of an elderly woman at a gym has been charged for invasion of privacy.

Dani Mathers shared the bodyshaming snap on Snapchat in July alongside the caption “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either”.

Mathers could potentially face up to six months in jail after it was claimed her victim wants her held to account.

LAPD detectives took a while to find the woman in her seventies but when they did she was clear she wanted to take action.

The Los Angeles Police Department charged the 29-year-old with one misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy, website TMZ reported.

Dani Mathers has since apologised for her actions

LA City Attorney Mike Feuer told the Los Angeles Times : “Body-shaming is humiliating, with often painful, long-term consequences.

“It mocks and stigmatizes its victims, tearing down self-respect and perpetuating the harmful idea that our unique physical appearances should be compared to air-brushed notions of ‘perfect.

“What really matters is our character and humanity.

“While body-shaming, in itself, is not a crime, there are circumstances in which invading one’s privacy to accomplish it can be. And we shouldn’t tolerate that.”

The model’s lawyer, Tom Mesereau – who famously defended Michael Jackson in his 2005 child molestation case – had previously told the New York Daily News he hoped “the rumor is not correct”.

“Dani Mathers never tried to hurt anyone at any time, and certainly never tried to break any law,” he added.

Mathers, 29, was roundly criticised for “accidentally” sharing the photo of the woman showering at an LA Fitness gym.
