Kanye West and his entire entourage strolled into Trump Tower, but WHY?
Donald Trump and Kanye West seem to be such an odd pairing, don’t they?
Trump says that the two “have been friends for a long time.”
Reportedly, Kanye West, who is 39, requested a meeting with the President-Elect, and brought his entourage to Trump Tower on Tuesday. Hope Hicks, a spokesperson for Trump, confirmed that the rapper and the President-Elect were together for a discussion.
“[Kanye] has had positive things to say about the president-elect,” Trump transition team communications director Jason Miller told the Daily Beast after the meeting.
Miller also said that Donald Trump “is going to be president for all Americans.” He is interested in putting together coalitions and will “reach out to people both from traditional and nontraditional political viewpoints.”
Earlier this fall, in San Jose, West said the following during a concert (part of his Saint Pablo tour:) “I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you… If I were to have voted, I would have voted on Trump.”
After the meeting, Trump made his statement that the two “have been friends for a long time.”

So, was this simply a meeting of two old friends? Or, was it a chance to build a coalition of those with differing political viewpoints?
I believe, as one reported asked, that Kanye West will perform at Trump’s Inauguration in January.
If so, who will be angrier? Will the liberal Democrats, who pander to the black community, be more furious? Will it be Republicans, who do not view West as an insider?
Time will tell, but one thing is certain: This Trump Presidency is going to be fun to watch!
