In a video that is quickly going viral on social media this morning, two man can be seen being kicked off a Delta flight after allegedly only speaking Arabic to one another. The incident was documented by one of the men and uploaded to Twitter where it has already been retweeted over 60,000 times in just a few hours. What failed to be mentioned, Adam Saleh is a YOUTUBE celebrity and vlogger known for his history of hoax videos, including being caught just last week by another airline claiming he was lying about “smuggling” himself onto a plane by hiding in a suitcase. Saleh in 2014 also admitted that a viral video of his called “RACIAL PROFILING EXPERIMENT!” was a fraud after being investigated by The Smoking Gun, which called the effort at the time, “a sham, a staged production aimed to go viral and pile up views.”
While everything about this video seems legit, Saleh’s credibility is in question as to whether or not it was all done for views. Delta has since issued a statement saying, “Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort. We’re conducting a full review to understand what transpired. We are taking allegations of discrimination very seriously; our culture requires treating others with respect.”
