Nikki Haley Confirmed As U.N. Ambassador With 96-4 Vote!

Nikki Haley was expected to be confirmed, but a 96-4 vote was an overwhelming surprise, especially with her lack of foreign policy experience.

Two Democratic Senators, Delaware’s Chris Coons and New Mexico’s Tom Udall, actually did vote to block her.

Trump stated previously that things were going to be changing once he got into office regarding the U.N. and Haley also believes things need to change.

role from From CNN:

The Senate voted Tuesday to confirm Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations, making her the fourth member of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet to be approved even as Republicans and Democrats battle angrily over the pace of confirmations.

Haley, the governor of South Carolina and a rising GOP star, was approved with wide bipartisan support, 96-4.

Haley was upset along with many Americans about the U.N. resolution that passed that the Obama administration supported that was a stab in the back to Israel.

From CNS News:

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said she would “not go to New York and abstain when the U.N. seeks to create an international environment that encourages boycotts of Israel.”

“In fact, I pledge to you this,” she continued. “I will never abstain when the United Nations takes any action that comes in direct conflict with the interests and values of the United States.”
