Every parent in this world wants their baby to be born healthy. However, before the child is born, each parent experiences a period of uneasiness and consistent contemplating the health of the infant. If you are a parent you definitely know these things and you presumably remember those moments you spent waiting for doctors to give you the news about your infant.
A baby was born in a hospital in Szekesfehervar, Hungary with a rare condition. He was named Baby Bence, and he was nicknamed by the nurses as Prince Charming due to his unique feature. Baby Bence was born with white hair.
Baby Bence, weighed 11 pounds at birth, and the doctors explained that the reason behind the unusual color is not a sign of illness or prenatal stress. The baby has no pigmentation issues which led them to conclude that the hair color would change as the boy grows.
According to Daily News Hungry, doctors decided to have “His blood sample examined in Budapest because of the special pigment shortage.”
According to Dr. Zoltan Kummer, Baby Bence is not an albino, melanin pigment may be missing in the baby’s hair, but there is no sign of any other shortage of pigment on the boy’s body that would determine it to be albinism.
Albinism in humans is a congenital disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes. Albinism is associated with a number of vision defects, such as photophobia, nystagmus, and amblyopia. Lack of skin pigmentation makes for more susceptibility to sunburn and skin cancers.
After hearing the doctor, the parents were convinced that their baby is healthy.
