Flashback people… Do you remember when liberal Maxine Waters was bashing James Comey’s credibility as the FBI director?
However, now we have the liberal legislators holding a different tone towards James Comey. They are hiding the fact that the left had blasted Comey for handling Hillary’s email investigation during the 2016 Elections. Maxine Waters slammed Comey for reopening the Clinton investigation just before the election, saying he had no “credibility.”
Oh but conservatives are the only ones who have been skeptical of James Comey’s credibility.. right!?
This is the clear message the left has been sending to the public media. The mainstream media and Democratic lawmakers are now rallying around the former FBI director James Comey’s anti-Trump book this week like little groupies.
Now Democrats decide to open up to what Comey has to say? Very opposite to how they were acting about a month ago. Typical Democrats…

It wasn’t that long ago that one of the most liberal voices in Congress, Maxine Waters of California, was warning Americans not to believe anything Comey was saying.
“Firebrand liberal Maxine Waters slammed the FBI director after he re-opened the Clinton investigation just weeks before voters went to the polls, saying ‘All I can tell you is the FBI director has no credibility,’” commentator Sean Hannity reminded his readers on Friday.
The pundit included a video of Waters uttering that direct quote back in 2016.

Waters isn’t the only liberal who has questioned Comey’s reputation. This week, the GOP released a video compilation of top Democrats criticizing the disgraced FBI director… at least before it became politically convenient for them to flip their story.
“Democrats have been very critical of James Comey, and many of us did call for his resignation,” Senator Chris Murphy — a Democrat — declared in the video that the left would no doubt like to see buried.
“I was appalled by what Director Comey did,” echoed Democrat Chuck Schumer.
“Comey acted in an outrageous way.” That was Senator Bernie Sanders.
“He (Comey) made a mistake,” scolded Democrat Nancy Pelosi. “Maybe he’s not in the right job.”
“(Comey) may have destroyed the credibility of the FBI forever,” confirmed former Democrat presidential candidate Howard Dean.
Republicans released a slick and effective website to collect these quotes from Democrats, making a strong case that despite the left’s sudden love affair with James Comey, they themselves were calling for him to step down not long ago.
The site also took the stance that Comey has a history of lying, and his Trump-bashing “memoir” should be taken with a grain of salt.
“Comey stated under oath that he never posed as an anonymous source to leak information to the press,” the GOP-produced website stated.
“The Truth: Comey later testified that he “asked a friend of [his] to share the content of the memo with a reporter’ in order to put political pressure on President Trump,” the site continued, along with video backing this up.
“James Comey has portrayed himself as an innocent victim fired by President Trump,” continued the site.
“The Truth: While Democrats feigned outrage over President Trump’s firing of James Comey, they had long questioned Comey’s ability to lead the FBI and even called for him to be fired.”
It’s hard to argue against those points. When even top Democrats were recorded on video criticizing Comey and suggesting that he was no longer fit for the job, it’s tough — if not impossible — for them to now pretend that he’s an innocent victim who was bullied by President Trump.
Hoisting Comey onto a newly-built pedestal might help him sell books and give the left a fresh platform to attack Trump, but it’s deceptive and wrong to wave away the past. The American people do not forget that quickly.
