After Being Hired as a National Security Fellow by The Huffington Post, This Former NFL Player’s Tweets About 9/11 Have New Relevance

The Huffington Post announced Wednesday evening that they hired Donte Stallworth as a politics fellow covering national security, giving new relevance to one of the former NFL player’s years-old tweets.

“NO WAY 9/11 was carried out by ‘dying’ Bin Laden, 19 men who couldn’t fly a damn kite,” Stallworth tweeted in July 2009. “STILL have NO EVIDENCE Osama was connected, like Iraq.”

That year, Stallworth also pled guilty to a DUI manslaughter charge for killing a man after hitting him while under the influence in Florida.

Nevertheless, company founder and president Ariana Huffington said in a tweet she is “so excited” to have him aboard covering national security.
