A “nanny cam” confirms a Southland mother’s worst suspicions. Her fears turn to horror after what she captured her nanny doing to her 1-year-old child. Now the nanny has been arrested and the mother fears what else might have happened while her 1-year-old twins were in the care of the nanny.
The mother of twins who were abused allegedly by their nanny is speaking out about the videos that captured the attacks.
A nanny camera captured shocking images of Dana Cash allegedly shaking a 1-year-old girl.
“I was appalled,” the mother said.
The mother, who didn’t want to be identified, said she first found the video after her 8-year-old son witnessed the attack and told her about it.
“He knew. He knew it was wrong,” she said.
After the mom found the video and watched it for herself, she showed it to Cash.
“She puts her head down and says ‘I made a mistake.’ I said, ‘That’s not a mistake. That’s not a mistake you’re allowed to make.’ She was fired,” the mother said. “It took all of me not to want to physically hurt her.”
Cash was then arrested by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of child abuse. She is now out on bail.
“They asked me to review any additional footage to see if I found other incidents involving my other children,” the mother said.
And she did. The mother said she found videos of Cash putting her hand over the mouth of her 1-year-old son, and over the mouth of his twin sister.
I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that if this happened to my child, this woman would either be in the morgue or on life support after I saw this video! -MD
