Listen to Feminist Explain Why She Thinks Aborting a Baby Is Often ‘More Moral’ Than Actually Having the Baby

On Tuesday, Feminist Katha Pollitt made the case on MSNBC that it is often times “more moral” to have an abortion than it is to actually give birth to a child.

Quoting Pollitt’s own words, host Ronan Farrow recited, “We need to see abortion as an urgent practical decision that is just as moral as the decision to have a child – indeed, sometimes more moral.”

Watch the segment via MSNBC below (relevant portion starts at around 3:30):

“That’s your view obviously,” Farrow said. “Do you think tough that it’s the most savvy way to frame this politically, going into this kind of an election season? Should this be a moral debate on the ballot, or should it be a practical one about the health risks to women?”

Pollitt argued that it should be “both” and said “61 percent” of women who have abortions are already mothers in an attempt to explain why women who have abortions “are trying to do right by their children, by their families, by themselves.”

“Thank you so much Katha Pollitt. You are very clear voice on this,” Farrow added.
