(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested, charged and convicted of involuntary manslaughter after leaving a baby to die in his hot car while he was smoking marijuana and watching a movie, prosecutors in Kansas said.

Now, 29-year-old Seth Jackson of Wichita, has been sentenced to serve 32 months in prison with 24 months of supervised release.

Jackson pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 10-month-old Kadillak Poe-Jones, who died of hyperthermia after she was left in hot car for over two hours.

During the two hours, Jackson smoked marijuana and watched Game of Thrones with his partner. Jackson realized that he left the child in the hot car after seeing a child crying in the movie.

The men rushed out, and Jackson unlocked the vehicle while his partner removed the child. The couple told investigators the girl was hot and stiff.

Jackson tried CPR, but could not open the child’s mouth. The responding police officers found the girl unresponsive and laying on her back on the couch.

Firefighters removed the girl from the couch to the floor and tried to revive her, but failed. Jackson’s partner has not been charged.
