Former police officer kills his former wife and shoots two officers who responded to his home

(Scroll down for video) Two police officers who were called to a home for a domestic dispute, were shot by a former police officer.
Police in Georgia, said that the two officers entered the garage of the home, and found Kathy Smith Giaquinta dead.
Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell and Deputy Bill Zigan then proceeded to the home to see if there were any other victims inside.
That is when they were ambushed and shot by former Gainesville Officer Anthony Giaquinta.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Terrell was shot once in the arm and Zigan was hit multiple times. Both officers were hospitalized.
Giaquinta managed to escape, but was later found with the body of another man, who police believe he killed. When police attempted to arrest Giaquinta, he began shooting at them.
During the shootout with police, Giaquinta was killed.
Officer Terrell has since been released from the hospital and officer Zigan is recovering. He is said to be in good condition.
