Another member of the country’s police force is looking to break into the international pageant scene, following the success of Mister International 2014 Neil Perez.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Inspector Sophia Loren Deliu from Baguio City has been included in the list of candidates who will compete at this year’s Miss Earth Philippines beauty pageant.
The Filipino-Romanian holds a bachelor’s degree in tourism management, before becoming part of the 2014 batch of graduates from the Philippine National Police Academy in Baguio City.
She also has a background in modelling and beauty pageants, having joined local competitions such as Miss Teen Philippines in 2006, and Miss Baguio in 2008.
Deliu is just one of the 24 hopefuls vying for the Miss Earth Philippines crown, currently held by Jamie Herrell from Cebu.
The pageant’s coronation night will be held in April.
