The Gathering Storm of Anti-Gun Money

Growing-Storm

Illinois State Rifle AssociationSummer is bearing down upon us and with it all the great summer shooting activities.

I urge you to take part in all those that interest you.

I attended a local sportsman’s club meeting and was pleasantly surprised to find out that trap shooters in the area (around Chatsworth, Illinois) could find a trap club that is open every week night and every weekend day, all less than an hour’s drive.

I am seeing the same thing with rifle, pistol and 3-gun leagues also. If you are looking for a place to shoot it is amazing what you can find with a little research.

The waiting period has begun to see if and when the Governor will sign the Concealed Carry Cleanup Bill. The legislature has not sent him the bill yet. They have 30 days to do so. I predict the Governor will sign it.

I am watching the gathering storm growing which is going to be launched against gun owners across the nation, by people like Michael Bloomberg, George Soros and others of their ilk. This storm is fueled by unlimited money. As an example, in Washington State last week anti-gunners were able to raise over $600,000 to fight one pro-gun initiative. I know that Washington State seems remote but the money anti-gunners are willing to pour into local issues makes none of this very far away.

On Saturday, June 20th 2015 we are going to have our NRA Day at the ISRA Range. We still need volunteers; if you can help please call the office at (815) 635-3198. Your family, friends and neighbors are welcome to come. There is a flyer on the ISRA website. If you have a concealed carry permit you are welcome to carry. Your personal firearms and ammunition cannot be used at this event. All firearms and ammunition will be supplied by the firearm companies and the ISRA. I hope to see you there.

Thanks for being a member or supporter.
