BREAKING: Glenn Beck/The Blaze Radio Dropped From Major Midwest Market

In the shadow of a trip to Charleston, to morn shooting victims, and a campaign to “Restore Love,” Glenn Beck has been bumped from prime time radio in the St. Louis market on 97.1 fm talk radio, KFTK.

On their website, KFTK announced the replacement for Beck. Brian Kilmeade, of FOX News will fill the 9 a.m. to noon time slot.

Brian Kilmeade currently serves as co-host of Fox News Channel’s (FNC) FOX & Friends (weekdays 6-9AM) alongside Steve Doocy and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Additionally, he serves as host of Kilmeade and Friends, (weekdays 9AM-12PM) a nationally syndicated three-hour radio show on Fox News Radio. Kilmeade joined the network as a sports reporter in 1997.

Every weekday morning, Kilmeade provides viewers with the latest on the current headlines in news, sports, politics and entertainment. During his tenure at FNC, he has interviewed newsmakers in politics as well as celebrities and athletes, including former President George W. Bush, former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, supermodel Miranda Kerr, television personality Simon Cowell, New Orleans Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. During his tenure, he has also provided live coverage and analysis on major national and international events.

What do Beck fans think of the change? Well, many are hopping mad.

KFTK thinks Kilmeade will bring a well rounded perspective to the news of the day.

Kilmeade and Friends will be replacing Glenn Beck from 9a-12pCST on FM NewsTalk 971 starting Thursday, June 25.

Kilmeade and Friends from FOX News, is going to give us more current, breaking news coverage along with good conservative opinion about that news. It was a very tough decision to part with Glenn since he has been with us 15 years but based on listener comments, ratings and the current news cycle we made the move.

Our hope is that this will give us more news coverage while keeping conservative opinion. Please listen for a couple days and let us know what you think, feedback is greatly appreciated!
