[Shocking] Mother Arrested For What She Allegedly Did To Her 4-Year-Old Son…

“The definition of aggravated assault in the State of Georgia mentions intent,” said Woolfolk. “Investigators believe the actions of Miss Todd merit those charges at this time.”

 

Law enforcement officials arrested a mother in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 15 after she allegedly shot her 4-year-old son in his back. The boy is currently in critical condition.

According to Officer Ralph Woolfolk, Patricia Todd, 41, has since been charged with aggravated assault, tampering with evidence as well as cruelty to children.

Officers believe Todd intended to fire the gun. Police are still unsure as to whether or not she intended to harm her child, Jamari Todd.

Regarding the incident, Major Adam Lee said, “It is going to touch your heart when you’re dealing with such a grave injury to such a young person.”

The boy was reportedly shot at around 11 a.m. in the family’s apartment complex. The 911 caller reportedly said the child had been shot in the chest.

The mother was in hysterics when paramedics arrived, a neighbor told Fox Carolina

“They’re good people,” one neighbor told AJC.com. “And he is a good little boy. I don’t know what could have gone on. It is shocking to me.”

Investigators reportedly discovered a gun in the in southwest Atlanta apartment.

Todd was slated to appear in court at a hearing on July 29.
