A man on a bus got more than he bargained for when he allegedly attempted to sexually assault two female passengers on Sept 9. Unbeknownst to him, one of the women was a former boxing champion, Mirror reported.
Both of the women fought back, which led to a 30-minute brawl.
According to People’s Daily, the bus driver, identified by his surname, Chen, said the women initially made a ruckus over the man’s attack.
“I vaguely heard them shouting, ‘You want to be ashamed,’ and ‘he bullied us,’” Chen said.
“I quickly stopped the bus and looked behind me,” he added.
The women forced the alleged attacker off the bus. He was reportedly drunk at the time, but he came back later and reportedly attempted to strangle the two women. Police arrived and stopped the brawl, and all three people were detained.
“Although we encourage women to protect themselves and fight against sexual harassment on public transport, these two women were a bit extreme,” a police spokesman said.
It’s unclear if any charges have been filed.
