Spaulding High bigwigs of Vermont need to give it a rest as school officials are going all June Cleaver over cleavage in student Lillian Clark’s senior picture. The school yearbook committee has rejected her senior portrait and told Clark by email, according to the report from WCAX in Burlington, Vt.:
“The photo is lovely. Before it can be accepted, we have to abide to school policy in regard to dress code and cleavage.”
According to Spaulding High School’s handbook, students may not wear clothing which exposes under garments, midriffs, backs or cleavage.
Clark has other pictures she can use, but she and family like this one. Apparently the picture didn’t even make her grandmother squeamish. And the family is prepared to fight fire with the hot flame of current events.
“Having a bigger chest is part of who I am,” she said. “It’s not like I can change it.”
