For Ronny Hicks, this is his third DUI in ten years. But his most recent arrest was a new experience for him.
Police say complaints were called in after Hicks blocked the path on a pedestrian bridge in Palm Bay, Florida. When the police arrived they found Hicks- extremely intoxicated- behind the wheel of an electric wheelchair.
Fox 35 reported that Hicks was slurring his words and seemed confused. He also refused treatment for an open head wound.
The judge approved the maximum $5,000 bond for Hicks, but his DUI attorney Jason Hicks (no relation) believes it will be hard for the state to convict him if it goes before a jury.
