Girl Struck Fatally By Runaway SUV, But It’s What She Did Right Before Is Truly Inspiring.

While playing in her yard on Monday, a 10-year-old girl was fatally struck by a runaway SUV which plowed her through a fence. However, what she did just seconds before the vehicle hit has parents bursting into tears.

Young Kiera Larsen was only on this earth for a decade, but her final few seconds of life were more than enough to leave an impact on others that will never fade.

Fox News reports that 10-year-old Kiera was innocently playing in her yard on Monday with two toddlers, ages 1 and 2, when a 1999 Mercedes-Benz started rolling in reverse down the dirt driveway straight towards the children. Instinctively, Kiera pushed the toddlers out of the way of the vehicle, saving them from certain death.

For her sacrifice, Kiera was pushed through a fence before the car came to a complete stop, causing her severe injuries. Unfortunately, the little girl died on her way to a local hospital in Lakeside, California.

“She is truly a hero. She will forever be my kids’ guardian angel,” said Alissa Jenkins, mother of one-year-old Adison and two-year-old Emma, the two girls Kiera saved. “She saved both my daughters’ lives. These are my two kids that I have and both of them could’ve been gone in an instant and she stepped in and took over and did what she knows best to do — and that’s to protect those around her.”
