Another major food distributor is issuing a food recall on certain Emerald brand Cashews.
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — Giant Food issued a voluntary recall for roasted and salted Emerald cashew halves for possibly containing glass pieces, the store announced Monday.
The store said it removed Emerald cashew roasted and salted halves and pieces products due to potential presence of glass.
According to Giant the following products are included in the recall:
• Emerald 100 Calorie Pack, Roasted & Salted Cashew Halves & Pieces, 4.34 oz, UPC 1030033324, Best Before Dates of 12 DEC 16, 13 DEC 16, 18 DEC 16 or 21 DEC 16
To date Giant has not received any reports of injuries.
Customers who did buy these products should get rid of any unused portions and bring their receipts to Giant for a full refund.
