New footage from a fatal biker gang shootout that took place at a Twin Peaks restaurant near Waco, Texas last year has been released.
Nevada attorney Stephen Stubbs released a total of five videos, including one taken from Officer Michael Bucher’s dashcam, which shows the moment bullets began flying during the May 17 incident.
Stubbs, who is not representing any bikers from either of the two gangs involved in the case, said he obtained the videos posted to his Youtube page from numerous news organization who reached out months ago and asked him to review the evidence, KXXV-TV reported. He said he made an agreement with the media outlets not to release the video before now.
The attorney released the first video, a montage of various security and dashcam footage, April 2. The clip includes his personal analysis of the evidence provided to him.
Stubbs told KXXV the audio included in that first video is from a witness whom he said provided a recorded statement to police of what occurred that day. On Tuesday he released four more videos, which include raw footage from various angles inside and outside of the restaurant.
“I just thought it was appropriate for public to see what happened and video doesn’t lie; you can certainly judge for yourself,” Stubbs told KXXV.
In light of the newly released evidence, Stubbs claimed police statements made in the past, including the allegation that bikers attended the restaurant intending to fight, are false. He said that most of the bikers went to the Don Carlos restaurant that day to attend a political meeting for the Texas Coalition of Clubs and Independents.
