As with most politicians, Bernie Sanders‘ campaign slogan could be changed to “do as I say, not as I do.”
The social justice warrior travelled from New York to Rome to meet the pope on a chartered 767 with a group of about 50, which included his family and members of the press, the Daily Mail reported.
According to the Mail, the flight spent approximately 33,193 gallons of fuel for the round trip meaning Sanders, who thinks climate change is one of the biggest threats to national security, used more fossil fuel in 24-hours than the average American uses in a year via air travel.
And that’s not all.
The Vermont senator, who portrays himself as a man of the people, had one heck of an incredible menu for his family and the press aboard Air Bernie.

@Yamiche @BernieSanders Is it hypocritical to live like a 1%er while pretending to champion the poor?

Not just a swimming pool socialist, but a charter plane socialist. Obscene. https://t.co/FHoZ7PXFq4
