Far from being the 10-foot-tall invincible soldiers of Allah that their slickly-produced propaganda videos would have you believe, a recently recovered GoPro camera worn by a dead Islamic State group fighter has revealed that at least some of the Islamist militants are little more than a bunch of untrained and panicked morons.
The footage on the camera showed some of what the unlucky jihadist witnessed in his final battle, before being granted a permanent early retirement by the Kurdish peshmerga forces north of Mosul in Iraq.
Obtained by Vice News and posted to YouTube, the video provides a stark look at the limited capabilities and utter lack of training or knowledge displayed by what are presumably new recruits of the Islamic State group militants.
The video begins with several fighters saying goodbye to a suicide bomber about to head out for a mission, who makes sure to tell his friends to give his regards to his mother, before receiving a heartfelt hug from a fellow jihadist.
The video then takes a decided turn for the absurd as the remaining militants pile into a makeshift armored vehicle, likely just a regular truck with armor plating welded or bolted to the sides, and head out to battle.
