I can only imagine how they felt…
We went out to the beach this morning about 9ish with Ken Garcia, Teresa Boose, and Matt Deavenport and Sarah Deavenport. There were two sand bars with a shallow lagoon in between them. A pod of about 10 to 12 dolphins came into the lagoon and with them was a calf who got confused and beached himself. Several bystanders jumped into action and got him or her safely back in the water. But instead of swimming back to Mama the baby proceeded to swim circles around the first responders rubbing up against them as if to say thanks. He allowed several people to touch him before Mama said come on. And then they headed back out to deeper water. Pretty cool beans. –Facebook
