This guy is a little creepy but I did not see him do anything illegal or wrong in her video…
A Florida woman turned the tables on a convicted voyeur earlier this month and not only captured him on video, but also chased him out of a Florida Target store.
Police identified the man as Jeffery Polizzi. Polizzi had approached Candice Spivey two years ago in a Publix grocery store and had secretly filmed his harassment of her. As soon as he began asking her questions regarding a swimsuit, she turned around and recognized him and immediately began videoing the incident with her cell phone.
“When he approached me yesterday he did not remember who I was, until I called him out on it in this video,” said Spivey. “When he approached me in Publix two years ago he had two small children with him under the age of three in his shopping cart. The basket of his shopping cart was filled with multiple different types of razors that were for both men and women. He starts out his conversation with the same punch line he uses here in the very beginning of this video saying, ‘Hey there I don’t mean to bother you but I just bought this maxi dress for my wife at Ross and I was kinda worried about the sheerness of it.'”
“Whiles he’s asking these questions he’s filming you with his cell phone, and I knew he was by the way he was holding his phone,” she continued. “I had this feeling there was way more to what he was doing than just asking questions, it was very routine for him like he’s been doing this for a long time. So I went immediately to the front and reported him, they called the cops and he was banned from that publix. It was not illegal what he was doing.”
“Do you remember running into me in the grocery store?” Spivey asks Polizzi in the video.
Polizzi became frightened, dropped his basket and fled, with Spivey in hot pursuit calling for someone to stop him. She chased him into the parking lot.
“Call the cops,” she shouts as he runs away from her.
“I wanted an identification on who he was so I could put this out there,” Spivey said.
She then went and posted the video to her Facebook page, where it has gotten over 33,000 shares and 3.2 million views.
According to ABC News:
Police eventually caught Polizzi, charging him with reckless driving after he allegedly fled the scene. It’s unclear whether he has entered a plea or has a lawyer. Polizzi has not responded to ABC News’ request for comment.
It’s not the first time he has been accused of inappropriate retail encounters. Polizzi was previously convicted of “taking photographs of women in dressing rooms” in 2009, according to court documents.
If this was not enough, Spivey added that she has no regrets for what she did and that while she is concerned with charges, she is more concerned with getting the man’s face out to the public to stop him from harassing anyone else.
“This guy is a huge creep and he’s only being charged with reckless driving,” she wrote. “He has approached minors as well, and there’s no telling how he could easily manipulate a young mind and how far he could take the situation.”
