WATCH: China is working on a fully automated parking lot of the future
Everyone now knows that China is (again) heading toward the terrifying future of public transit, but apparently they are also spending some time developing the parking lot of tomorrow as well, just in case.
Hate hunting for parking spots in the city? Don’t have a chicken to reserve that perfect space for you? Well soon those concerns will be a thing of the past thanks to Shenzhen-based Yee Fung Automation Technology Co. The tech company has developed a “smart parking robot” that promises to park your car in the fully automated lot within 120 seconds.
It will slide your car right into an open space, missing by not more than 5 mm. Its failure rate is less than 0.01% and 100 of these babies can run at the same time.
