The annual Norwegian tradition of burning the Slinningsbalet, or the Slinning Bonfire, involves the creation and burning of many pallets, crates and barrels in Alesund.
The tradition happens on midsummer’s eve and this year’s proved to be a world record breaker, measuring in at a gigantic 47.4 metres.
