After this speech announcement, it appears that NEWT IS BACK, big time!
Speaking to a massive turnout of several thousand supporters in Cincinnati, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced that “one way or another, Newt Gingrich will be involved in our government.”
The comment was made as Trump was discussing the $51 million his campaign raised in the month of June before pointing to Gingrich, saying, “Even Newt couldn’t believe that.”
After he signaled to Gingrich, the crowd began erupting in cheers of “Newt, Newt, Newt.”
“Listen to these people, it sounds like a football game,” said Trump, laughing. “I don’t know, Newt, are they booing or are they saying Newt? No, they love Newt, we all love Newt, Newt gets it.”
“I’ll tell you one thing folks, I’m not saying it’s Newt [referring to his vice presidential candidate], but if it’s Newt nobody’s going to be beating him in those debates, that’s for sure! Nobody’s beating our Newt,” he continued.
