Department Of Justice Tweets About Melania Trump Then Scrambles To Hit ‘Delete’

They posted something inappropriate on Twitter then tried to delete it, but it was too late!

Despite the Department of Justice’s strict policies regarding the use of company social media sites for personal use, one staff member has been called onto the carpet for not following policy.

The incident involved the unauthorized use of Twitter to post a tweet responding to a recent CNN article. The article dealt with the charges that Melania Trump’s speech to the Republican National Convention on Monday plagiarized a portion of an earlier speech by Michelle Obama.

A DOJ official issued a statement, “The tweet does not represent the Department’s views and was inappropriate for the Department of Justice’s official account, so it was immediately deleted.

According to a statement by the DOJ, procedural changes are being put into place by the Office of Public Affairs to better train employees on the appropriate use of social media sites.

They also said, “The Justice Department takes this matter very seriously and will continue to take the appropriate steps to prevent it from happening in the future.”

Although the tweet was deleted, several Twitter users responded to the tweet.

The agency has confirmed the staff member responsible for the “inappropriate” tweet has been denied access to the agency’s Twitter account.

I am actually surprised that they took any action at all…
