As we reported yesterday, a number of polls show that Donald Trump received a significant bounce following the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Today, The Los Angeles Times has released a new poll that shows that the bounce may have been more significant than initially thought.
According to the LA Times/USC Dornsife poll, the GOP presidential nominee has jumped out to a 7-point lead over his rival Hillary Clinton, 47%-40%.
The new poll is one of three in recent days which show Trump leading Clinton. A CNN/ORC poll released yesterday shows Trump leading Clinton 48%-45%, while a CBS Poll shows Trump with a more modest 1-point lead over Hillary.
