A woman and her dog were trapped in their vehicle on Saturday due to historic flooding taking place in Louisiana. Dramatic video footage captures the woman’s car sinking under the water as rescuers attempt to reach her by boat. In the video, you can hear her saying “Oh my God, I’m drowning” as the car continues under, that’s when one of the rescuers makes the bold move to jump on her vehicle and tear through the convertible roof. Moments later the woman emerges from the murky waters with her dog close by.

Thanks to the efforts of these heroes, two lives were saved and many more can breathe a sigh of relief knowning their loved one is going to be ok. Those are some real heroes!
