After the tragic flooding in Louisiana this week many people took notice that Obama didn’t get down there right away to show his support and instead chose to continue his vacation at Martha’s Vineyard. The problem with this is that no major media source gave him much grief. Remember back in 2005 when Katrina hit New Orleans and the media crucified Bush for not responding quickly enough?
Twitchy is reporting that Louisiana’s Governor John Edwards (no, not that John Edwards) is saying that they don’t want President Obama to come to the flood-ravaged state just yet, because it’d be too much of a hassle to accommodate a presidential visit in the middle of all the relief and recovery efforts going on –

Oh gee, isn’t that the EXACT SAME REASON that George W. Bush delayed his visit to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina? And the Democrats gave him grief over it? INCLUDING the Democrat currently in the White House?

Obama can do whatever he wants and never hear a peep from the media. Hypocrisy at it’s finest…
