A 2-year-old Colorado boy will never be the same after what his deranged father did to him at a local park.
Nathan Weizen was watching his little boy play on August 21, when he was suddenly overcome with the feeling that parenting was too much of a responsibility. According to 9News, the 29-year-old father “did not think he was man enough to raise a child.”
Nancy Lopez, the child’s mother, shares custody with Weizen. Though the couple isn’t together, the pregnancy was planned, as they both wanted to be parents – or so Lopez thought.
Now her son is in a full-body cast.
Mad World News reports that Weizen was fueled up on cocaine when he took his son to a nearby park to play as he plotted a way to kill the boy and rid himself of his weekend responsibility. It didn’t take him long to devise a plan.
Weizen scooped up Isaiah in the middle of his playtime and put him back in his car unrestrained. Meanwhile, he fastened his own seatbelt security.
He then went barreling through a neighborhood at 75 mph, intentionally slamming into other vehicles.
Neighbors came running out of their homes at the sound of the crash in order to help, but they were met with something totally unexpected when they saw Weizen beating his child instead of trying to save him from his injuries.
The neighbors pulled the man off of Isaiah and held him until paramedics arrived.
He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for severe injuries.
Meanwhile, Weizen was taken into custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder, child abuse, assault, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, and vehicular assault.
He even admitted to authorities, “I was trying to kill my son,” but thankfully, little Isaiah survived, albeit with a long road to recovery in front of him.
There truly are no words to adequately describe the level of entitlement and selfishness required to try to kill your own flesh and blood. Hopefully, Nathan Weizen will rot in prison for the rest of his life and Isaiah will be able to move on from all of this.
