Comedian Larry the Cable Guy opened up about the 2016 presidential race and bemoaned the current political climate that sees Donald Trump supporters being labeled racist.
“It’s not like it used to be. If you pick somebody, people want to beat you up, give you death threats. Nobody’s civil,” the 53-year-old comic said Tuesday in an interview on Fox News’ Fox and Friends. “Ever since social media came along, everybody’s a jerk. So if you say, ‘I kind of like Trump, I kind of like the things he says,’ you’re always a racist.”
The “Blue Collar” comedian says this year’s presidential contest is “crazy,” but one thing he knows for sure is who he will not be voting for in November.
“I know who I’m not voting for,” he said. “I’ll give you the initials — Hillary Clinton. This election is so crazy because I want to change.”
