Tim Kaine: Catholic Church May Change their Mind on Gay Marriage, Misses One Minor Detail

Tim Kaine opposed gay marriage until 2005 as a devout Roman Catholic but now sings a different tune. Kaine believes that gay marriage should now be celebrated and believes the Catholic Church may eventually change its mind, like he did.

I personally find it funny that politicians change their stance to better fit their agenda. Personal convictions mean nothing in politics, it’s just a game to see who can play it best. The best liars and manipulators end up in the White House and all his change of heart shows me as a voter is, he lacks personal conviction and flip flops on issues. Not someone I would want making decisions for our country.

Kaine makes a good point on diversity and God being happy with what he created. However, he forgets that God was pleased before the FALL and what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah.  Minor details, who needs those.

The church isn’t going to change their mind based on your interpretation of the Bible.

Daily Mail reports:

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine is predicting that the Roman Catholic Church may eventually change its opposition to gay marriage.

Kaine is a devout Roman Catholic as well as a US senator from Virginia and a former governor of that state.

He told the Human Rights Campaign during its national dinner Saturday in Washington that he had changed his mind about gay marriage and that his church may follow suit one day.

‘I think it’s going to change because my church also teaches me about a creator who, in the first chapter of Genesis, surveyed the entire world, including mankind, and said, “It is very good,”‘ Kaine said.

He then recalled Pope Francis’ remark that ‘who am I to judge?’ in reference to gay people.

‘I want to add: Who am I to challenge God for the beautiful diversity of the human family?
