SHOCKER: Employee Who Used BleachBit To Wipe Hillary’s Server Takes The Stand

Do you blame him for saying what he said?

Platte River Networks is the vendor that Hillary Clinton used to host and manage her emails, her private servers, and other functions during her time at the State Department. After months of waiting, a Platte River employee finally takes the stand in front of the House Oversight Committee.

Paul Combetta is the technician’s name, and his initial words are not surprising:

“On advise of counsel I respectfully decline to answer and assert my Fifth Amendment privilege,” Combetta said.

According to the timing presented FBI report on the criminal investigation into the servers, Combetta wiped the server with BleachBit four weeks after the investigation started and two weeks after Congress requested all emails be preserved. Combetta has also been accused of wiping the server while under subpoena.

Combetta is one of two technicians who was granted immunity by the Justice Department in order to cooperate with the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s server.

When news of the immunity broke, Trey Gowdy was none too pleased!

Certainly, Combetta is acting on the advice of his lawyer, and who can really blame him for declining to testify.

In truth, there are far bigger fish who are likely to fry in this scandal, and Combetta is doing his best, as a low-level participant, to avoid prosecution.

Hopefully, in time, the truth will come out.
