Despite witnessing the tremendous amount of backlash Colin Kaepernick earned for not standing during the National Anthem, four of his teammates have chosen the same fate.
On Sunday afternoon’s game in Carolina, linebacker Eli Harold, safety Jaquiski Tartt, cornerback Rashard Robinson and safety Antoine Bethea all lifted their fists into the air while The Star-Spangled Banner blared.
The players are protesting to bring attention to racial inequality in America, despite the fact that they all make multi-million dollar salaries.
The 49ers are not the only ones pulling this stint, either. USA TODAY reported:
In New England, Dolphins Michael Thomas, Kenny Stills and Arian Foster knelt, as they did last week. But Jelani Jenkins, who had joined his teammates last week, did not Sunday.
San Diego Chargers offensive linemen Joe Barksdale and Chris Hairston Jr. held their hands in the air during the anthem, just as Kansas City Chargers cornerback Marcus Peters did last week.
If these overpaid idiots can’t pull their heads out of their rear ends, perhaps it is time to boycott the NFL entirely. Have your say on this issue in the comments section!
