Update: BREAKING – West Point On Lockdown; Car Matching Terror Suspect’s Breaches The Gates

The US Military Academy has taken action at West Point after a search was conducted for a suspected terrorist.

Foxnews reports:

The man was eventually identified as a resident of West Point.

“Once the report of a suspicious vehicle was made, appropriate security measures were taken,” Kasker said. “Authorities at West Point continue to work directly with their county, state and federal counterparts in all matters of security. West Point officials are encouraged by the active roll citizens are taking to say something when they see something.”

The lockdown has been lifted.

The US Military Academy at West Point is on high-alert and lockdown as a car matching the description that of a terror suspect in the New Jersey and New York bombings breaches the gates.

Police are searching the academy after reports of a terror suspect being spotted in the area.

MidHudsonNews is reporting the lockdown took place after a driver called police to say he saw a driver who looked like the man wanted in connection to the New York bombing and bombs found in New Jersey, according to the site.

The driver is reported to look like Ahmad Khan Rahami, a 27-year-old U.S. citizen born in Afghanistan. Rahami was named by New York City police as being wanted in questioning related to the bombs case.
