At the start of the Aug. 26 game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat on the bench during the National Anthem as a symbolic protest of how hard black people supposedly have it in America.
Since then, he has kept the protest alive through the first games of the season and earned the disdain of fans everywhere, plus the ire of top NFL execs.
Over the weekend, Opposing Views reported that once Kaepernick is finished with the 49ers, his career in the NFL is effectively over (but let’s be honest, he’s going to be hard-pressed to find work anywhere after the stint he has pulled)…
When he’s done with the San Francisco 49ers, it looks as though Colin Kaepernick’s career is probably over. If starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert had bombed during the first two games of the season, there would’ve been a chance for him to redeem himself on the field. However, given that it doesn’t look like he will see any playing time soon, his lack of on-the-field potential coupled with his ongoing protest of the National Anthem have made him a high cost, low reward option for every other team in the league.
NFL executives have quietly confirmed that Kaepernick’s career is likely over, as well. Their reactions have ranged from calling the Quarterback a “traitor” to dismissing him with unabashed statements like, “F**k that guy.”
Indeed, it’s pretty darn clear he’s earned himself a spot as the most hated player in the NFL for disrespecting the country which has afforded him so much opportunity.
