CT has the full story:

Hundreds of  Somali refugees were diagnosed with active tuberculosis in that Minnesota alone between 2010 and 2014.

The Minnesota Department of Health published the findings, revealing that 71 refugees had been diagnosed within one year of their arrival, while 225 were diagnosed after their first year in the country, bringing the total number of cases to 296, according to Breitbart.

However, Minnesota was not the only state to which refugees were bringing illnesses. In fact, 27 cases of active tuberculosis were also recorded in Wisconsin between 2014 and 2015.

Thirteen other states have also reported cases of the disease, including California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee and Vermont.

The Minnesota Department of Health told Breitbart News why Minnesota had more tuberculosis patients than other states.

“The presence of other medical conditions is the chief risk factor for the activation of TB disease in a person with latent infection (and remember, a third of the world has latent TB infection),” a statement from the department read.

“These conditions include diabetes, cancers, immune suppressing medications, and renal disease. These are conditions common with the American diet and lifestyle, and new risk factors for these refugee populations.”

“From 2010 — 2014, in addition to their overseas screening, 99 percent of our primary refugee arrivals completed an additional health screening within 90 days of their arrival in the US,” it continued. “If you look at national surveillance data in 2014, states with a lower percentage of foreign-born cases arriving as refugees often have a higher percentage of unknown or missing data.

“During the five years between 2010 and 2014, 732 cases of active TB were diagnosed in Minnesota,” the statement added. “Of these, 81 percent, or 593, were foreign-born.”

Besides bringing illnesses from their homelands, many refugees have also been making headlines for violent acts, such as murder and rape. And these are people that President Barack Obama’s administration is letting into our country without proper vetting.
