More than 650,000 emails were found, but this is the ONE DOCUMENT that makes it matter!
Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, and Hillary Clinton have some explaining to do. Ironically, a law enforcement investigation into the sexting habits of former Congressman Anthony Weiner have blown the lid off of the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
Reportedly, the New York Police Department was investigating Weiner for an alleged relationship with a 15-year-old girl, when they found a file on a laptop entitled, “Life Insurance.” The file is said to contain 650,000 emails relating to Hillary Clinton’s career and her tenure as Secretary of State.
A number of plausible theories are being considered in the media:
- Anthony Weiner stole as many emails as he could in an attempt to gain legal or political leverage should he need it
- Huma Abedin sent the emails to herself as an insurance policy, in case her boss, Hillary Clinton, were to turn on her
- Some news agencies even question if Abedin may be a spy
- It could be a technical error on the Abedin family’s part. Perhaps their family sharing settings ended up storing these bombshells?
Whatever the explanation, Huma Abedin is likely to be a legal trouble with no one in power to help her out.
The reason? Federal Employees are required to sign a form, OF-109, when leaving the State Department. The OF-109 indicates their understanding that they have a legal obligation to turn over all classified material that they may possess.
“It’s a separation agreement that states simply [that] people understand when leaving government that they are maintaining no classified information, they understand their legal obligation to protect further classified information and safeguard any potential disclosures of that,” a Republican spokesman named Sean Spicer explained.
Hillary Clinton has gone on the record saying that she turned over all Classified Material. Perhaps Huma has said the same thing.
Regardless, if Classified Material is found on Abedin and Weiner’s devices, Huma could be in huge trouble, and the OF-109 will be part of it.
