Blue Monday is said to be the most depressing day of the year and after looking at all of these, my screaming kids don’t seem so bad. So what is Blue Monday you ask? Well, the phrase was first coined in 2005 by a PR company and supposedly takes into account the weather, motivation levels, time since Christmas and when we’ve likely given up New Year’s resolutions. The sum of those things combined make the third Monday of January, although in the past it has been the second or fourth, the most miserable day of the year.
