John F Kelly to ICE: Head ‘Em Up, Move Them Out, Rawhide

John F Kelly has taken the leash off of the ICE agents and told them to pack them in and ship them back, in fulfilling another Trump campaign promise come true.  Just one day after announcing that Trump will be hiring 10,000 new employees to deal with deporting illegal criminal aliens, Kelly has broadened the scope of who can be deported.

From The Washington Times:

Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly officially ordered federal agents this week to begin arresting and deporting more illegal immigrants, releasing them from the handcuffs the Obama administration had imposed, and making headway on one of President Trump’s chief campaign promises…

…Those caught at the border are to be swiftly shipped back, Mr. Kelly said, and he freed agents to target a broader universe of illegal immigrants for deportation from within the interior of the U.S. The secretary said agents are still to give priority to those with criminal rap sheets, but are free to use discretion — taken away from them in the Obama years — to detain anyone they believe to be in the country illegally.

From The Washington Examiner:

The 680 seized in recent sweeps by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agents represent just .07 percent of the 950,062 with deportation orders as of May 21, 2016.

Responses to questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee, provided by Thomas D. Homan, currently the acting ICE director, revealed the struggle the agency faces as it moves to deport illegals, many with criminal records and slapped with “final orders of removal” after exhausting their court appeals.

He said that ICE has custody of just 11,006, or 1 percent, of the 950,062 ordered deported.

Show them that the border works going both ways.
