A kindhearted man in Texas is desperately searching for a woman who accidentally threw her wedding ring during a Mardi Gras parade in his town.

32-year-old Justin Morgan his wife, Tamara, had just finished eating dinner at the Stuttgarden Tavern in Galveston, when they started watching a Mardi Gras parade for Fat Tuesday.

“We went out there to watch the parade and catch beads,” he recalled. “We weren’t even 15 minutes into it and I saw this lady with some beads … really nice beads. She pointed at me and threw them to me.”

“It took maybe about a second that something was on the beads,” he added. “That’s when I looked down and there was a ring.”

Morgan and his wife immediately tried to make their way through the Mardi Gras! Galveston parade to track down the woman who mistakenly tossed the ring with her beads, they couldn’t remember which float the woman was on. While Morgan and his wife know nothing about the woman they are searching for, they do remember that she was blonde and appeared to be in her 30s.

Morgan has since shared his story on social media in hopes of finding the woman, so he can return her wedding ring as soon as possible.

Morgan explained that his wife once lost her engagement ring, but nobody ever bothered to return it.

“Because it’s something that you’re supposed to give to your kids,” he said. “I guess I’m a hopeless romantic.”

Though he knows it’s a long shot, Morgan is encouraging anybody who recently lost their wedding ring at the parade to contact him on Facebook.
